I have been taking Miki's gentle yoga and Yoga-Pilates classes for 3 years. She is a certified Yoga instructor and Yoga therapist. She can accommodate those who have a problem achieving some poses by giving alternate poses. With her extensive knowledge and long-time experience in the practices as well as my own experience in her classes, I am confident to say she is one of the best instructors. Since I started taking her class, I have improved my balance, strength and flexibility. I feel energetic everyday and I love my (finally) flat stomach. There have been a few situations where I was able to avoid an injury. I am very happy I have been staying healthy and feeling strong. Not only is Miki a great instructor who teaches classes in a very effective manner and gives clear and detailed instructions, but also she is liked by all of the students in her classes. As a retired senior relatively new to Yoga, I have found the Gentle Yoga class to be perfect. The poses are achievable and the benefits include increased flexibility, balance and strength. Miki is an excellent teacher. She demonstrates the poses, she explains the goals of the poses and she also articulates them as we do them very clearly. Her choice of words gives students a clear visualization. Keeping it gentle, she offers options for anyone with limitations for a particular pose and she offers correction here and there to ensure that we do them properly for the most benefit and to avoid injury. Her choice of music is conducive to a successful Yoga session and she achieves a nice balance of repetition with variety from week to week.

I have had the pleasure of having Miki as a yoga instructor for the last couple of years. She provides the class with very exact and thoughtful explanations and examples of the various poses, along with the use of props to assist us. Miki also has the ability to scale the pose to accommodate the students abilities. She has a thorough knowledge of Yoga, as well as the physiology that it supports. I have had many instructors over the years that I have been practicing Yoga and Miki is among the best.

Miki Bousso is an extraordinary yoga teacher. The yoga and yogalates classes I have been taking with Miki for many years have been very helpful in keeping me fit in work that is physically demanding. I am a potter and that takes a heavy toll on the back and the whole body. Miki explains and demonstrates positions and movements clearly and precisely, encourages you to go at your own pace and shows alternate positions if necessary to prevent pain and discomfort. Her classes are not repetitive, she introduces new exercises at regular intervals which keep you interested, focussed and in good physical form.

When I decided to try Yoga for the first time, I signed up for "Gentle Yoga for a Healthy Spine". It turns out that "gentle" is a perfect adjective to describe Miki's teaching style. She takes the time to explain "why" you should do a pose in the right way, demonstrating what it should both look like and feel like. She will do this multiple times during a class to make sure that you are doing the pose properly to get the most benefit, often wandering the room to check the position of each participant. Her voice is gentle, and her smile keeps you holding that pose a few seconds longer! I look forward to her class each week.

I have taken Miki's Yogalates class off and on for nearly four years, and find that her manner, voice, and the care she takes in explaining and demonstrating every new position/activity are outstanding. I am a senior golfer who, like most of us, wants to remain as active as possible while being protective of physical limitations, and Miki helps her students to do the movements safely and within our limitations while allowing those who can extend themselves to do so. I think I have told you what a gift you are in my life. I had pretty much lost my sense of balance and you helped me get it back. I lost a lot of strength and while I am still a weakling, I feel like I'm holding the line. I have been taking Yoga classes from Miki Bousso for five years, she has been of great help in relieving my back pain. I have five discs that are degenerating. Miki has been a very patient and informative instructor. She has a special "knack" for explaining how to move into each position as well as explaining the benefits of each move. She answers all questions and provides a welcoming/comfortable class for all students. I have enjoyed and learned from Miki's classes for about 5 years. She is a great teacher and has varied activities to make each class fun and interesting. The atmosphere is pleasant and we learn at our own pace. Miki knows her stuff and we have great respect for her knowledge.
